Hi there,

So many of us in the US are getting our grills ready for memorial Day weekend, and I’ve been thinking about what food really means as we get older. As a product of the 90’s Diet Culture, for me, it’s no longer about being thin, it’s about strength. Energy. Nourishment. Hormonal support. Longevity. Joy.

But in this quest, everyone I know and their mothers are trying to figure out how to eat more protein, but if I have to eat another hard-boiled egg or dry chicken breast, I might actually gag! So I’ve been looking for other options: meals that hit my protein goals and taste juicy and delicious, and today I’m sharing some of those with you.

I am usually super busy, and I am not a nutritionist or a doctor, so I rely on experts to help me out. These high-protein recipes are all from chefs, registered dietitians, and wellness experts I trust. I am relying on some of these foods to keep me on track this weekend as I gather with friends and family and eat things I love without punishing my body.

And speaking of things that fill me up, today, Susan Sandler and I are hosting The Matriark Salon with the incredible Jessie Frechl, and I can’t wait to get deep into conversation.
