I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I am into fashion again. For a while I have been a little numb, bored and disinterested. Maybe I was relishing a fashion break after closing my store, maybe it was just the market, but I haven’t been inspired at all. And shoes were the least interesting of them all - I have been living in sneakers forever (and do not foresee a big change any time soon), and felt the styles were not that compelling for the price.
But this fall changed everything. The silhouettes are flattering (I’m tired of the ugly shoes!), we see more variety in heels, and there are more amazing boots than I could possible buy. I’ve been scrolling, saving, and trying on nonstop, so I decided to focus this week’s newsletter on shoes only (no sneakers in sight, though. We all have enough of them, and know where to find more. (The only new pairs I got this season were these Salomons and these Dries van Noten).
I gathered my favorites into one fun chart so you can skip the overwhelm and get straight to the good stuff.
