Hi there,
Before I start, and apropos to this newsletter, if you are in the Hamptons this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, please go see my friend Ashley Himmel's pop up at Love Binetti in Sag Harbor (17 Washington Street). Ashley, who worked for Ralph Lauren, is a self-taught photographer with an incredible eye. She just launched a beautiful collection of sweaters (I am getting the Big Cable Sweater). Lee Berzack, Founder of Pantoffel, will be there too with her cozy sheepskin slippers (one of my picks below).
Last weekend, before dinner at Il Buco al Mare in Amagansett, I wandered into their well-curated shop, discovered the brand Autumn Sonata, and almost missed my reservation because I was too busy rummaging through their pieces.
I especially loved their chocolate brown bathrobe, not necessarily a color I usually buy, and I couldn’t figure out why I was so drawn to it. I had dinner, forgot all about it, and moved on with my week.
Then yesterday, I hosted the Transformative Breathwork session with Cathy O’Brien from Naturopathica and Céline Antoine, and let me tell you: it was incredible. Truly transformative.
I felt a warmth and safety, and a kind of love that was nourishing and uplifting. I found clarity on the intentions I set at the start of the session, and Céline reminded us to think with our hearts as much as with our heads. (If you ever have the chance to do a session with her, please do yourself a favor and book it!).
We had a full house, and from the feedback, it seems she touched everyone in the room.). I left the session wanting to hold on to those feelings, and the chocolate color bathrobe came to my mind.
Clothes seems so trivial, but I realized I loved that robe so much not just because chocolate browns are having a fashion moment, but because of what they convey: coziness, nostalgia, and a sweet sense of security we all need right now.
So, I went down the internet rabbit hole and found a few pieces that may help me keep that cocoon feeling from Céline’s session. This week’s quick edit is a love letter to comfort, and a warm hug from me to you in hopes we all can stay grounded and feel safe in these crazy times. I hope they help you too.
Sending love 🤎
Patricia
